Delicious healthy orange chicken. Bursting with fresh citrus flavor, devilishly sticky, and insanely easy to make. It'll be a family favorite in no time.
Heat olive oil in a saute pan over medium heat, Add onion, garlic, chicken, and salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until chicken is lightly browned and almost cooked through and onions are soft. Then stir in the chicken stockpot or 100 mls of chicken stock.
Take a jug and add orange juice, soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, rice wine vinegar, ginger, white pepper, and chilli. Add the orange zest and lime zest, then squeeze in the juice from both.
To the pan, add in your chosen vegetables, then pour over the sauce and stir thoroughly. Cover.
While the chicken is cooking, add the rice to a pan or steamer. Depending on your cooking method, this can take up to 30 minutes. Drain rice, and serve the orange chicken on top. Enjoy!
